VALORANT: 5 Things Players Want Added (& 5 They Hope Riot Games Leaves Out)
For Cypher to operate at his fullest capability, the player controlling the mysterious character needs to have a strong game-sense and map understanding. Cypher is at his most powerful when he is placing his traps, camera, and Cyber Cage in key choke points or in troublesome and sneaky positi
Cypher’s Spy Cam and Neural Theft primarily operate as powerful recon abilities. When used correctly, a Cypher player should have eyes on the enemy team at nearly all times. Be sure to abuse the oppressive capabilities of the Spy Cam’s Marking Dart as often as possible. A sole enemy death can lead to an incredible momentum shift when playing Cypher, as it can reveal the location of the entire enemy team, leading to a potentially devastating counter-attack or ambush. Use these abilities wisely and matches will end as quickly as they be
The first of Cypher’s moves are the main staple of his playstyle and that is his Trapwire. As the name implies, Trapwire operates as a powerful trap to place throughout the map. When using the ability players will need to attach the long string-like wire to two close walls. Once attached and players walk through the Trapwire, that enemy will be stunned and appear as an outline in your perspective. Making it a powerful tool to keep enemies away from a particular location, or to notify Cypher players when players are approaching a particular destination. When placing the Trapwire be sure to place it about chest height, that way an enemy isn’t able to either jump or crouch under the wire, Ak 47 Skin avoiding its effe
More than anything else being able to coordinate with your team is the most important skill within Valorant. Players need to be able to call out and talk to their team. Being able to collaborate and decide how a team is going to approach a particular round is one of the many reasons that communication is a necessity within Valorant. A team that has no gameplan going into a round is essentially useless in the face of a well-coordinated team. Being able to collaborate and decide on a given tactic is essential to winning Competitive games, and requires communicat
It’s not an overstatement to say that T1 and Nerd Sreet Gamers’ tournament was incredibly fun to watch. From Hiko’s insane 1v4 clutch to EliGE popping off at every possible moment, VALORANT proved that it can live up to the hype as an esp
A little higher up is where players will notice that there is some coordination, players will be far more patient and less likely to charge into the opposing territory, and map knowledge becomes common as players have learned which routes are safer than others or useful for att
Riot Games has already explained that the ranking system in VALORANT features a total of eight different ranks with three tiers each, except for the highest rank, Valorant. What is not stated is how similar ranking feels compared to CS:GO , both in improving as a player and what to expect from teammates at each r
Cypher’s Cyber Cage is similar to ordinary smoke abilities, yet can be remotely activated will slow opponents caught within. His ultimate, Neural Link, will reveal the location of every remaining enemy – and knowledge is power in VALORA
Jett is certainly a fan-favorite, so I imagine this is where I’ll get the most backlash. Heck, even I play Jett more than the other agents. Her abilities are endlessly fun, with speedy dashes and quick, versatile smokes. Jett’s primary function is to outmaneuver and overwhelm opponents, requiring clever movement and precise aim with her knives. In the right hands, she can run away with match MVP easily. However, aside from her less-than-unique smokes, her abilities are rather inward. That is to say, Jett doesn’t have a ton of avenues to assist her team, other than to slay
Phoenix’s Blazewall is decent for blocking vision, but mainly a great way to heal up quickly. His fireball is capable of self-healing too, not to mention blocking and damaging foes. Lastly, Run It Back gives Phoenix a free chance to push into any room, instantly reviving him if taken down during its duration; His ultimate ability is unique and endlessly use
The beta was recently released and players have shared their thoughts on the gameplay, as they also form their own opinions about the game. This is the purpose of this early testing, as the developers decide what to take out, add, or improve to make the final product great. Keep reading to learn five things players want added and five they hope Riot Games leave out of VALOR
I’m going to get flack for this. But to be honest, one factor makes Omen less viable in the competitive scene: his predictable abilities leave him extremely vulnerable. His smokes are good, but they require manual placement and actuate very slowly. While Brimstone has the same grievances, he can place three smokes with much greater range, rendering Omen’s a worse alternative. His teleportation is also limited in range and quite slow to actuate. As far as his ultimate, it can be quite good, but the fact that everyone is acutely alerted upon its use makes it very difficult to be steal
